Welcome to Zzzone Backpackers in Hermanus, Overberg, Western Cape. Located in the bustling town centre of Hermanus, Zzzone enjoys a prominent position close to a number of vibrant restaurants, bars and exciting activity pick-up points.

Designed with sleep in mind, Zzzone offers guests a fresh, sleep-centric take on the traditional backpackers. We have shifted our focus away from offering a place to “party and crash” and more towards choosing locations that offer the perfect, off-site party and active scene, curating a peaceful sleep sanctuary.

Zzzone Boutique Hostel Accommodation

Our spacious rooms have been designed with functional use in mind. Featuring 2 single beds, quality finishes and hues of blue and grey, guests are invited to retreat to their sleep-inspired chambers.

Rooms 4 and 5 feature basins in the bedroom, making them perfect for guests seeking a little bit more privacy. By special request, these rooms can also be set up to host a massage or other sleep enhancing spa treatments.

Starter Pack

To make settling in to your Hermanus stay more comfortable, on arrival you will be issued a starter pack containing the following:

• Large towel (R250 deposit applies)
• Refreshment bag containing 2 milk sachets, 1 English Breakfast tea bag, 1 Catura coffee sachet and 2 white sugar sachets

Guests are welcome to make use of the shower gel and hand wash soap located in the dispensers at the showers and basin. Items not included, such as shampoo, conditioner and soap can be brought along or purchased at the local supermarket or 24 hour shop, 200 metres away.

Shared Facilities

Private Bathrooms - Our two private bathrooms are fitted with a basin, shower and toilet. The basin and showers are stocked with shower gel and hand wash.

Shared Bathroom - On the one side, guests will find modern shower cubicles fitted with shower gel as well as well-lit basins and mirrors, and on the other, immaculately clean toilet cubicles and more hand wash basins.

Kitchen - By special arrangement, guests wanting to make the most of the bountiful local produce can make use of our well equipped service kitchen.

Chill Zone - Our Chill Zone is the perfect retreat for guests looking for spot to chill. Kick back and relax on one of our comfortable couches – book in hand and not a care in the world – or share a meal with a friend at the dining table. You are invited to zone out to our restful beats and tranquil vibes, complemented by our free uncapped Wi-Fi.

Deck - From morning coffees overlooking Walker Bay, to sunset drinks before a night on the town – time spent on our deck is sure to be memorable.

Storage - Planning an exciting adventure and need a space to leave your luggage for a couple of days? Enquire about our ZZ TOPS luggage storage. Safe, secure and affordable.

Parking - Although Zzzone does not have dedicated onsite parking, guests are welcome to make use of the public street parking in the area.

Guests are requested to check in at Harbour House Hotel. Located at 22 Harbour Road, it is a short walk away from Zzzone.
